FAT REDUCTION
The new Deoxycholate (DESOFACE) fat dissolving injection is designed to treat those difficult localised pockets of fat such as under chin area, abdomen, thighs and back rolls.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Once injected, DESOFACE destroys fat cells by damaging the fat cell membrane and liquifying the fat in the treatment area. The destroyed fat cells are then broken down and removed naturally through the body’s lymphatic system .
WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER TREATMENT?
Most patients will see some swelling and redness in the treatment area which can last between 3-7 days. Typically results will start to be seen 2-3 weeks after the first treatment. The number of treatments required will vary between patients and the area we're treating but typically the double chin area takes between 2-4 sittings for best results.
WHAT IS THE AFTERCARE?
Aftercare for this procedure is very simple.
Depending on the area treated we may advise wearing compression garments after treatment (we will advise)
Avoid sauna/ steam rooms for 24 hours and make sure bath and showers aren't too hot.
Normal daily activity can resume immediately including exercise
HOW LONG WILL IT LAST?
Providing the patient doesn't put significant weight on after the treatment course is complete the results are permanent.
